Dehesa
Dehesa is a charcuterie and tapas bar inspired by the cuisine of Spain and Italy. It opened in January 2008 and is the sister restaurant to Salt Yard in Fitzrovia, offering sharing dishes served in a relaxed environment.
The restaurant is named after the Dehesa- a unique woodland area in Spain which is home to the black-footed Ibérico pigs – said to produce the best ham in the world. This reflects our commitment to quality and provenance and our dedication to carefully sourced products.
Pop in to share a board of the finest Jamón Ibérico carved to order along with a plate of manchegos with quince – accompanied with a glass of cold Fino. Try some courgette flowers stuffed with goats’ cheese and drizzled with honey or some chargrilled tiger prawns with smoked garlic butter and rosemary- washed down with a glass of crisp Albariño. Or how about chargrilled lamb chops with fresh peas, broad beans and mint and a glass of Pinot Nero.

Meza
Meza is a fabulous new Soho tapas bar, dishing out tasty bites of sunshine. This is the warm heart of Spain brought to the West End. At Meza the emphasis is firmly on traditional and tasty tapas in an informal and fun setting. The glorious regional menu is stuffed full of diverse recipes. There’s everything from hams and cheeses, to seafood and olive-drenched veggies. It’s perfect for all those friendly types wanting to share and care, as well as those who need a larger stomach-filler. The fish & seafood dishes include chunky salt cod & spinach fritters with a aïoli dip, fresh squid with piquant salt & pepper coating. Other tapas include ham & cheese croquettes, chorizo discs and garlic tomato bread. The ambience is as stylish as you could wish for – a bright Miro-inspired dining area with dramatic murals, stunning turquoise banquettes and modern shaved oak tables. The wine list is Iberian through and through too. We’re talking a lengthy list of over 40 authentic Sherries imported especially. The choice of standard wines is shorter but just as useful. And then there is the exciting cocktail list, mixing the classics with the more inventive, including half a dozen sherry cocktails.
No.20 Restaurant
Located on the ground floor of Sanctum Soho Hotel, No.20 is a destination in its own right. This 60-cover restaurant serves a modern British menu courtesy of Head Chef Lisa Sutherland, with menus changing seasonally.
Lesley Purcell of Can Do has created a stunning room with lashings of vintage glamour. Classical lines, oak floors and glowing pink columns clad in glass rods complement timber veneer tables, bronze gold leather banquettes and Altfield gold-rose wall coverings.
The stunning bar is an ideal place to relax after work, catch up with friends or enjoy a few cocktails before dinner. No.20′s comprehensive wine list has been carefully chosen to compliment and enhance the menu.
Silk
Silk is a luxurious fine dining restaurant, and one of the three dining areas in the five-star Courthouse Hotel Kempinski opposite Liberty’s on Great Marlborough Street. Housed in a former magistrates court, Silk restaurant is the architectural focal point of the ground floor of the hotel, having been converted from the old Number One court. The room is covered by a huge vaulted glass ceiling and is framed by original English Oak panelling. The Judges bench, dock and witness stand have been kept in their original setting and greatly compliment the style of the restaurant. Silk’s style of menu is derived from the historical “Silk Road, a series of routes that criss-crossed Eurasia over land and sea encouraging trade from the first millennium BCE. Silk’s menu therefore takes the diner down the historical ‘silk route’, through Italy, the Middle East and Asia, providing exemplary dishes from the different cuisines with a la carte and tasting menus and including dishes like Kung samrot – king prawns with garlic and fresh spices, Kai haw bai toey – coriander root and pandan leaf wrapped chicken thigh, Stuffed crab – fresh spices infused cock crabs stuffed and served with raw mango salad & delicious desserts such as Hazelnut crusted chocolate fondant – raspberry and tirfala ice cream and orangette or Satin chocolate marquise – blood orange and mint soup, cherry and ginseng sorbet. With its talented team, innovative menu and unique setting, Silk has become a popular addition to the London restaurant scene & is well worth visiting both for it’s amazing decor and mouth-watering Asian cuisine.
Dean street townhouse
Dean Street Townhouse is a 39 bedroom hotel and all-day dining room, located in the thick of buzzing Soho, in central London. The dining room is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.
The four-storey Georgian townhouse, once home to the Gargoyle Club, is rich in both its historic past and its Georgian architecture.
The all-day dining room serves a weekly changing menu of seasonal British food, sourced locally from producers within the UK and Ireland. A private dining room is available to hire, seating up to twelve for meetings and private hire events.
Arbutus
Chef and co-owner Anthony Demetre is best known for his creative ability to transform thrifty ingredients into fine-dining delights. Unassuming decor and minimalist furnishings in Arbutus’ two-roomed dining area give little away – the excellence of the daily changing menu is the big draw.
The restaurant attracts Soho media types, food lovers and nearby office groups, which lend it a relaxed, buzzy and sometimes boisterous vibe. Service is faultless. The carte options can be pricey, but the set menus are seriously good value.
The food blends British culinary tradition with Modern European cooking styles. A rustic, chunky-textured terrine was sublimely succulent, the meaty, buttery flavours matching divinely with some sweetly acidic fruit chutney. A main of slow-cooked tender lamb, almost gamey in taste, worked well with meltingly soft aubergine slivers and light gnocchi – a marvellous Mediterranean twist. Puds hit the high notes; it’s hard to resist the famed ‘floating islands’ (proper custard, flecked with vanilla, topped with a fluffy poached-in-milk meringue). Wines are well priced, well chosen and available in 250ml carafes.
